Nothing for merchants: $0 setup, $0 monthly fee, $0 processing surcharge. You keep your existing PSP, your merchant account and your payouts. Shoppers can add the WeRefund option when they buy — a fixed fee by order value, $0.99 to $4.99, opt-in and never pre-ticked, paid only by the shopper who adds it. It buys a service, never a promise of refund.

Through your own payment provider. When a shopper adds the WeRefund option, its fee is collected with the order by your PSP; WeRefund never holds your customers' payment funds. We track WeRefund transactions through your provider's API and webhooks and keep a ledger for each merchant. Settlement is automatic, twice a month: orders from the 1st to the 15th are settled around the 16th, orders from the 16th to the end of the month around the 1st of the next month. Each period comes with a statement — the number of WeRefund transactions, the fees collected, any refunds or cancellations, any partner revenue share, and the net amount owed to WeRefund — debited automatically from your registered bank account or payment method.

Three steps: create your WeRefund account, connect your store and your payment provider — Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Checkout.com or Airwallex — and get verified. Once your policy passes, your badge goes live.

Only if it falls short. We check that a return and refund policy is published, that it is clear, and that it gives at least the formula you chose — 14, 30 (recommended) or 60 days from delivery, among those your country allows. In the UK, 14 days is the legal minimum, and we label it that way. Restocking fees, refund method and exclusions are read and recorded as you publish them. Your policy page stays yours: we write one paragraph for your terms of sale, saying that WeRefund checks your policy, monitors it and keeps the version that applies to each order, and that the contract and every refund stay between you and your customer.

That WeRefund has checked that the merchant's return and refund policy is published, clear and at least the formula the merchant chose; that the policy is monitored for changes; and that the version in force is recorded for every order. WeRefund never holds customers' payment funds and never refunds in the merchant's place — the contract and every refund stay between the merchant and the shopper.

We re-check your policy page continuously. A significant change triggers a new analysis and an alert, or makes verification unavailable until the page passes again. Orders already placed keep the version that was in force on the day they were placed.

Every buyer of a Verified merchant gets, free, the WeRefund Policy Record of their order: the policy version in force on the day of purchase, the order, the purchase date and the return deadline. No. WeRefund is a technical service provider and never holds your customers' payment funds. You keep your payment provider, your merchant account and your payouts; your provider moves the money. WeRefund reads your orders and refund events, and never refunds in your place.
